No Limits at Sun ‘N Fun
In April 2024, No Limits Endeavors had the opportunity to attend the Sun ‘N Fun Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, Florida for the first time along with 200,000 other visitors. The airshow is the second largest airshow in the United States, and 2024 was a celebration of 50 years of Sun N’ Fun.
SUN ‘n FUN is a 501 (c)3 non-profit that markets and supports aviation events, and the proceeds from these events provides funding for The Aerospace Center for Excellence (ACE), which provides STEM-related and aerospace education outreach programs, scholarships, and more aimed at engaging, educating and accelerating the next generation of aerospace professionals. The Sun ‘N Fun expo includes daily air shows, forums and workshops, as well as exhibitors in the aviation marketplace.
No Limits had the opportunity to meet with a variety of potential vendors and partners that will help contribute to No Limits’ mission of making general aviation more accessible.
Sun ‘N Fun organizers provided handicap parking, handicap camping, and handicap accessible restrooms. A limited number of campsites with electrical hookups were available for campers requiring electricity for medical conditions. Golf cart transportation was free and available with just a phone call for those that needed it, which was especially helpful after rain made it a little more difficult to get around in a wheelchair. Before and after the rain dried up, the community and volunteers were more than happy to help anyone that needed mobility assistance. Rental mobility scooters were available with advanced reservation, as well as a limited number of on-demand scooters available to rent on-site.
Thank you to Sun ‘N Fun for helping make this airshow accessible to everyone!
